A few pictures from a recent trip to London to visit the Banksy exhibition. This was part of the Arts Award which we are currently delivering to young people at Markfield Community Centre in Leicestershire.

SEND are a committed and professional organisation. We have strong
community values and are confident that this new facility will reduce
antisocial behaviour, provide a learning and creative zone for young
people and older community residents alike and serve to bring our
diverse community together.
Come along to the Hermitage Community Centre on
Saturday 19th April
to learn more about our plans, express your interest for
the centre and try out some of the activities on offer
We will be running a number of FREE 20 minute ‘music making workshops’*. Take part and you’ll leave with your own creative production on CD or, if you have a mobile phone with bluetooth capabilities, as a download directly onto your phone. Budding MCs and rappers will also get the chance to develop their skills. Alongside this we will be running Graffiti* and Breakdance tasters.

Anyway, here we are.
We will be updating as regular as possible with the goings on within SEND, including our outreach projects as well as more local happenings within Sneinton and Area 6. For those that don’t know….
SEND aim to provide enjoyable and engaging sessions where young people are able to develop transferable skills whilst exploring their creativity. We are committed to creating a positive environment that fosters improved self-confidence and self-esteem through experiences with music, arts and technology, encouraging young people to pass on skills and information to their peers.
