More About SEND

Who we are

Moon -

“I firmly believe that everyone should have an outlet for their creativity. Something that can be done for passion and joy alone, something that reminds them that life is for living and is not simply a predictable march towards old age.”

As a DJ of 15 years on an international level, Moon knows a thing or two about the underground music industry.
After moving to Nottingham he felt it was time to put some of the things he’d learnt to good use, and with the help of Lee Marriott, SEND Project was born.
As the project Co-ordinator Moon finds himself putting his hand to all aspects of running a successful project. He is self-taught in music production, with 7302 City & Guilds to his name.

Lee -

Original founder of the SEND Project with Moon and currently part of Nottingham’s breakbeat act “Freak Collector”, Lee has been DJing at free parties throughout the midlands for nearly a decade where his love for music grew until he decided to go to college to study further. Here he obtained his National Diploma in music technology. Lee believes every young person should have the chance to express themselves and that the arts are not promoted enough to young people who don’t feel academically strong.
Recently, after an intensive 3 days in Berlin at Ableton HQ, Lee gained Certified Ableton LIVE Trainer status. Lee is one of only six people in the UK to have this accolade.

Winston -

Winston was an obvious choice for us at SEND having done it all, from appearing on top of the Pops countless times, to performing live for royalty, and teaching music theory in many countries.
Winston has a vast array of knowledge and experiences, both good and bad in the music industry achieved through having sold millions of records and having a No 1 hit across Europe.

He recently finished the BTEC National diploma and N.C.F.E in Music production and has the 7302 City & Guilds to his name.
Winston brings experience to the team and the musical theory required for the more instrumental young people we work with.
